Juniper Springs Campground Ocala National Forest
Juniper Springs sits in a shaded hardwood hammock where a massive artesian spring creates a swimming hole so clear you can count pebbles 20 feet down. The CCC-built stone bathhouse and canoe run from the 1930s still function, giving this place a timeless Florida feel. Sites are spacious with fire rings and tables, though the campground fills fast on weekends when families flock to the spring. Rangers patrol regularly and enforce quiet hours strictly.
Access is via paved SR 40, making it suitable for any rig. The spring maintains its 72°F temperature year-round, but summer brings crowds and afternoon thunderstorms. Winter and early spring offer the best balance of weather and solitude. Potable water comes from the spring system itself.
