Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest — White Pine Creek Upper Canyon Dispersed Camp

Upper White Pine Creek cuts a tight, forested canyon into the west flank of the Snake Range at the end of the Bunker Hill Road to White Pine Creek route. This is as remote as dispersed camping gets in Nevada’s Great Basin — spruce and aspen canyon bottom, seasonal creek flow, and absolute silence. You’re not going to stumble on this one by accident. Sites are naturally formed pull-offs in the canyon flat; space is limited to a handful of small groups.

Access requires the same high-clearance 4WD push that the trail demands — rocky, rutted, and genuinely remote. White Pine Creek may have seasonal water but treat anything you collect. This far in, you’re fully committed; turning around in a big rig is a project. Best windows are June through September before the canyon road muds out.
