HeftyFabworks — Colorado Springs 4×4 Fabrication and Armor Shop
HeftyFabworks is the kind of shop that smells like welding smoke before you open the door — and that’s a good sign. Based out of a unit on High Country Road in Colorado Springs, they design and build their own line of front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, skid plates, winch mounts, and recovery setups in-house. Every piece is Colorado-made and trail-tested. They also install — so if you’re rolling through the Springs en route to Cañon City, Phantom Canyon, or the San Juan high routes, this is where to stop for armor fitment or a last-minute recovery kit top-off.
Hours run Monday through Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–noon; closed weekends. Call ahead for fitment appointments — walk-ins are welcome for parts and consults but complex installs need scheduling. Verify hours before arrival as small shops adjust seasonally.
