Gerlach Campground and RV Park — Bruno’s Country Club

Established Campground

Bruno’s Country Club in Gerlach is an institution. The motel, bar, restaurant, and basic RV/camp area has been the unofficial gateway to the Black Rock Desert for decades. It’s not glamping — hookup sites and basic facilities — but after three days of alkali dust and washboard, the cold beer and hot food at Bruno’s bar are legendary. It’s the last place to fuel up, sleep indoors, or get a real meal before the playa swallows you whole heading north toward the Calico Mountains and High Rock Canyon.

Gerlach sits on NV-447 about 100 miles north of Reno. Bruno’s is right on the main drag — you cannot miss it. RV hookups are available; tent sites are basic. The place gets absolutely hammered during Burning Man season (late August), so plan accordingly or avoid entirely. Rest of the year it’s quiet and welcoming to dusty overland rigs. Cell service is spotty to partial at best. Confirm current rates and availability directly.

Last stop before the playa eats you.
