Clifty Falls State Park Natural Spring

Water Source

This natural spring flows year-round from limestone bedrock near the main falls overlook. The water emerges from a rock outcropping about 50 yards downstream from the main Clifty Falls viewing area, accessed via a short scramble down from the paved trail. Flow rate stays consistent even in dry spells, and locals have been using it for decades. Bring a filter as standard practice, though the water runs clear and cold.

Park in the main falls lot and follow the paved path toward the gorge — you’ll hear the spring before you see it. The scramble down is manageable but watch your footing on wet rocks. Park entry fee required, but the spring itself is accessible during all park hours.
