Bullfrog Campground — Glen Canyon National Recreation Area
Bullfrog Campground sits at the Lake Powell end of the Burr Trail, right by Bullfrog Marina. It’s a developed Glen Canyon NRA camp with numbered sites, restrooms, and a basic marina village nearby. The marina has a store, a fuel dock, and a ferry landing for the Hole-in-the-Rock side. It isn’t wilderness. It’s a clean place to land after the Waterpocket Fold switchbacks and the gravel, with lake views and red slickrock all around. There’s also a separate concession RV park with hookups if you need power.
Summer is hot and can be busy with houseboat and boat traffic, and the lake is the draw. Spring and fall are the sweet spots for overlanders. Services at the marina run on seasonal schedules, so verify fees, site availability, and store and fuel hours with the NPS ahead of time. Cell signal is weak to nonexistent. Grab water and supplies here before pointing the rig back toward Boulder or south toward Hall’s Crossing. Pack out what you pack in. Have a dirty day.
