Bluespring Caverns Park
This unique underground river system stretches over 21 miles through limestone caves, with guided boat tours taking visitors along the crystal-clear waters. The caverns maintain a constant 52°F temperature year-round, and the underground river is home to blind cavefish found nowhere else on earth. Tours run daily from April through October, with the 65-minute journey covering about a mile of the underground waterway.
The park sits on State Road 60 between Mitchell and Bedford, making it an easy stop for overlanders running the nearby Hoosier National Forest trails. A small gift shop and picnic area complement the main attraction, and the facility offers group tours by appointment during winter months. The access road is paved and suitable for any vehicle.
