Beaver Sports started in 1972 as a canoe shop and grew into a three-level outdoor store on College Road in Fairbanks. It changed hands to a new family in September 2025, and it’s still locally run. For overlanders heading up the Dalton Highway, over the Denali Highway or out to the Steese, it covers tents, tarps, sleeping bags and pads, cookware, stoves and accessories, water treatment, headlamps, and serious cold-weather clothing. The staff know the Interior and what it does to gear.

To be clear: this isn’t a parts house. It doesn’t sell winches or lift kits. Come here for camp and survival kit, and go elsewhere in town for tires and truck parts. Stove fuel and specific items vary, so call 907-479-2494 and verify stock and hours before you drive over, particularly in shoulder seasons. Have a dirty day.
