Panamint Springs Resort Campground — Death Valley National Park

Panamint Springs is a full-service outpost at the western edge of Death Valley National Park, sitting at roughly 1,900 feet on the valley floor near the mouth of Darwin Canyon. Tent sites, RV hookups, a motel, a restaurant, and — critically — a gas station that charges accordingly but is the only pump for a long stretch in any direction. The camp itself is basic high desert: gravel sites, some shade from cottonwoods near the creek, decent bathrooms with showers. It draws a mixed crowd of overlanders, road trippers, and motorcyclists running the Death Valley loop.

This is your logistics hub for the western Panamint approach. Fuel up here before pushing east into the park or south toward Trona. The restaurant serves food most of the day — call ahead in shoulder season because hours shift. Cell signal is limited but occasionally usable near the lodge building. Reservations are recommended for the RV sites; tent camping is typically walk-up. Being outside NPS fee areas, there is a nightly charge here.
