Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest — Blackpine Lake Campground
Blackpine Lake sits tucked into the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest east of the Cascades crest, about 11 miles southwest of Twisp off County Road 1049 and FR 43. It’s a quiet, USFS-managed site with roughly 23 sites spread around a small subalpine lake. Sites accommodate trailers up to 20 feet, and the vibe is low-key — mostly anglers and hikers rather than the big-rig crowd. Good staging ground for rigs working the Methow Valley before committing to Harts Pass or Tiffany Lake country.
The access road is paved most of the way in, transitioning to gravel near the campground. Generally accessible from late spring through October depending on snow. No hookups, vault toilets only. Piped water available mid-summer — confirm with the Methow Valley Ranger District before arriving and expecting it.
