Granite Falls — Grocery Outlet and Town Resupply
Granite Falls is a working mill town at the western foot of the Mountain Loop Highway and the logical resupply before you drop into the backcountry toward Mount Pilchuck, the Verlot area, or points east toward Darrington. The Grocery Outlet here is the best bang-for-buck food stop in the area — real provisions, not just gas station jerky. There’s also a Chevron for fuel and a hardware store for last-minute bits. Cell service is solid in town.
Once you leave Granite Falls heading east on the Mountain Loop, services get thin fast. Fill tanks and top off water before departing. The town is small but functional — plan around it being your last resupply if you’re running Forest Service Road 22, the Pilchuck mining road, or anything out of the Verlot Public Service Center corridor.
Last real grocery before the Mountain Loop goes wild.
