Burro Creek Campground
Burro Creek Campground sits in a desert riparian setting along the creek, offering 30 sites with picnic tables and vault toilets. The cottonwood and willow trees provide decent shade, making it a solid stop in Arizona’s high desert. Sites accommodate RVs and tents, though the road in can be rough for low-clearance rigs. Water is available from the creek year-round, but treat it. Fire restrictions often apply during summer months.
Located off US-93 between Wickenburg and Kingman, the campground sits at 2,000 feet elevation. Access is via a 2-mile dirt road that can get washboarded. Popular with locals and overlanders running the AZBDR, it fills up on weekends. No reservations, and the 14-day limit is strictly enforced.
