Marsh Lake Territorial Campground — Alaska Highway
Marsh Lake sits on the Alaska Highway roughly 35 km southeast of Whitehorse, making it one of the most accessible territorial campgrounds in the southern Yukon. The lake is wide and shallow, good for a morning swim or a fish for lake trout and northern pike. Sites are spaced out along the lakeshore with fire rings and picnic tables — nothing fancy, but clean and well-maintained by Yukon Government standards. Gets busy on summer long weekends with Whitehorse day-trippers, so midweek is the move.
Access is paved right to the entrance off the Alaska Highway. Pit toilets on-site. Potable water available seasonally. Open roughly late May through early September. Good cell signal this close to Whitehorse. A strong basecamp if you’re staging for runs toward the Canol Heritage Trail corridor or the Teslin Lake area.
