Moose Creek Territorial Campground — Alaska Highway
Moose Creek Territorial Campground sits along the Alaska Highway southwest of Whitehorse, tucked into boreal spruce with creek access nearby. It’s a classic Yukon territorial setup — pit toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and enough sites to spread out without feeling stacked on top of your neighbors. Low-key, no hookups, no reservations — just show up and pick a site. Popular with through-travelers on the Alaska Highway, but rarely slammed outside peak summer.
Access is paved right off the Alaska Highway — any rig can get here. Season runs late May through early September. Cell service is minimal. Good staging point before pushing into the Kluane region or the Dezadeash backcountry. Yukon Territorial campgrounds run on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise noted.
