Petro-Canada Burns Lake — Highway 16 West Fuel and Resupply
Burns Lake sits on Highway 16 in the heart of the Lakes District and is the primary resupply hub for routes heading south toward Tchesinkut Lake FSR, Murray Ridge, and the Babine Mountains backcountry to the east. The Petro-Canada here is the largest fuel station in town, with a convenience store and propane available. Burns Lake also has a grocery store, hardware store, and basic supplies — enough to top up food and gear before heading into serious backcountry.
If you’re running the Tchesinkut Lake FSR to Murray Ridge route or linking toward the Nadina River corridor, this is your last real fuel stop before things get thin. Burns Lake services can get busy on summer weekends with campers and RVs passing through on the Yellowhead. Top off here — don’t count on anything further south or east until you’re back out.
Top off before the Lakes District backcountry.
