McBride BC Petro-Canada and Town Resupply
McBride is a genuine small town on Highway 16 in the Robson Valley, flanked by the Cariboo Mountains to the south and the Rockies to the east. For anyone running the Lodgepole Creek FSR or Goat River Canyon routes, McBride is your last proper stop. The Petro-Canada on Main Street handles gas and diesel. There’s a grocery store, a hardware store, and a local mechanic that deals with rigs passing through — useful if you picked up a problem coming over the Yellowhead. The valley here is beautiful and underrated.
McBride sees enough overlander traffic that locals know the deal. You can ask around for current FSR conditions — the loggers and locals have better intel than any app. Highway 16 through the valley is paved and fast; the FSRs heading south into the mountains are a different world entirely. Fill everything here and carry extra.
Robson Valley's last full resupply stop.
