Kaibab National Forest DeMotte Park Dispersed Sites

Dispersed Camping

Dispersed sites scattered around DeMotte Park meadow at 8,800 feet elevation, surrounded by aspen groves and mixed conifer forest. Level spots accommodate most rigs, with established fire rings and some natural windbreaks. Popular with hunters in fall, quiet otherwise. Snow closes area typically November through May.

Access via Forest Road 422 from Highway 67. Well-maintained gravel road suitable for any vehicle. Sites are informal but obvious, spread around meadow edges. Pack out all trash, no water available. Prime wildflower viewing in July-August.
