BLM Mammoth Pool Dispersed Area
Scattered sites along granite benches and pine groves above Mammoth Pool Reservoir, offering a mix of shade and open spots with killer Sierra views. Most sites handle rigs up to 30 feet, though the best lake-view spots require some maneuvering around boulders. Popular with fishing crews and families — weekends fill up fast during summer. Fire restrictions typically in effect July through September.
Access via paved Mammoth Pool Road, then 2-3 miles of decent dirt. Road can get washboarded but stays passable for most vehicles. Vault toilet at the boat launch, but no water — bring your own or filter from the lake. Season runs roughly May through October depending on snow levels.
