Pine Valley sits deep in Los Padres National Forest along Carmel River Road, offering dispersed sites in a genuine mountain meadow surrounded by Monterey pines and oak woodlands. The setting feels worlds away from coastal California despite being only 30 miles inland from Carmel. Sites are naturally defined by terrain and vegetation, with room for medium-sized rigs though maneuvering space gets tight. Fire restrictions apply most of the year.

The final miles require high-clearance vehicles due to rocky creek crossings and narrow shelf roads that can challenge wider rigs. Access closes seasonally during fire season, typically mid-summer through fall. Cell service is nonexistent, and the nearest supplies are back in Carmel Valley Village.
