YPF Estación Perito Moreno

This YPF station anchors the small town of Perito Moreno, serving as the final fuel stop before the 300km push south to El Calafate or west toward Chile. Full-service pumps with diesel, nafta, and basic automotive fluids, plus a small shop stocking snacks, motor oil, and road maps. The station stays open until 10 PM most days, later than many rural Patagonian stops.

The town itself offers a few simple restaurants and a small market for resupply. Wind can be brutal here year-round — fuel up and move on unless weather forces a layover. Staff usually speaks basic English and can provide road condition updates for Ruta 40 south.
