Camping Los Molinos Laguna Blanca
A basic but well-positioned campground right on the edge of Laguna Blanca, offering front-row seats to one of Argentina’s best flamingo viewing areas. Eight designated sites with fire rings and a basic toilet block. No showers or potable water — bring your own or treat lake water. Sites are gravelly and exposed, so bring windbreaks. The flamingo viewing is spectacular from October through March when hundreds of birds feed in the alkaline waters.
Access is via a decent gravel road from Zapala, about 30 kilometers southwest. The campground sits at 1,300 meters elevation, so nights can be cold even in summer. No cell service. The adjacent Reserva Provincial Laguna Blanca visitor center has good interpretive displays but limited hours.
Lakeside flamingo watching at high altitude.
