Camping Baños Colina Cajón del Maipo
This remote campground sits at 2,500 meters in the Cajón del Maipo, serving as base camp for the famous Termas de Colina hot springs. Basic facilities include pit toilets and fire rings, but no potable water — bring your own or filter from the nearby stream. The site accommodates about 20 vehicles in a high-mountain meadow setting with dramatic Andean peaks all around.
Access requires high-clearance 4WD for the final rocky approach road. Best visited March through November when the access road isn’t buried in snow. No cell service and no reservations — first-come basis. The hot springs are a 45-minute hike upstream from camp.
