Mirador Volcán Antuco
This pullout along the road to Laguna del Laja provides the classic postcard view of Volcán Antuco’s perfect cone rising above the electric-blue lake. At 1,400 meters elevation, you’re looking across the water at one of Chile’s most active volcanoes — steam often visible from the crater. The contrast between the dark volcanic slopes and brilliant lake color is spectacular, especially in afternoon light.
Located 15 kilometers from the park entrance on a paved but winding mountain road. Large gravel parking area can handle multiple rigs. Gets packed on summer weekends with Chilean families, but early morning visits are usually quiet. The nearby CONAF station has trail maps and current volcanic activity updates.
