Robbers Cave State Park Stone Corral

Point of Interest

Massive sandstone formations create a natural corral where outlaws once hid horses and loot. The main cave extends 40 feet back into solid rock, with side passages and chimneys carved by wind and water over millennia. Stone steps and handrails make exploration safe for most visitors, though bring a flashlight for the deeper recesses.

Located within the state park’s developed area, accessible via a short quarter-mile trail from the visitor center. The surrounding Sans Bois Mountains offer additional hiking and rock scrambling opportunities. Park entry fee required.
