Two natural pools fed by underground springs create a steaming paradise in the northern wilderness. The lower pool runs around 108°F while the upper stays closer to 126°F — hot enough to cook you if you’re not careful. Wooden boardwalk leads 500 meters through muskeg and forest to reach the springs. The campground has 53 sites, flush toilets, and a day-use area that gets packed during summer months.
Located at Historic Mile 496 on the Alaska Highway. Springs are open 24/7 but the boardwalk can be slippery when wet. Watch for black bears — they frequent the area, especially in berry season. Winter access requires extra caution due to ice buildup.
