Mývatn Nature Baths Geothermal Springs
The Nature Baths sit on the shore of Lake Mývatn, fed by geothermal runoff from the Krafla power plant. Water temperature stays around 36-40°C year-round, with high mineral content that gives it a milky blue color. Less touristy than Blue Lagoon but equally therapeutic after dusty highland drives.
Open daily with entry fees around 5,000 ISK. Facilities include changing rooms, showers, and a small café. Perfect post-trail soak after running the Krafla circuit or Kverkfjöll routes. Can get busy during summer afternoons.
