Panamint Springs Resort
This weathered roadhouse sits at the junction of Highway 190 and Panamint Valley Road, serving as the final fuel stop before tackling the Saline Valley or Darwin Falls backcountry. The station pumps regular and diesel alongside a small store stocking basic supplies, cold drinks, and surprisingly decent burgers. It’s a genuine desert crossroads where overlanders fuel up, check conditions, and swap intel about Saline Valley’s rough access roads.
The nearest alternative fuel is 72 miles east in Stovepipe Wells or 50+ miles south in Ridgecrest. Pumps occasionally run dry during busy seasons, so top off here if heading into the backcountry. The resort also offers rooms and a restaurant, but most folks just fuel and go.
Last fuel before Saline Valley backcountry.
