F.D. Roosevelt State Park

Established Campground

Sprawling across Pine Mountain’s ridge, FDR State Park offers both developed and primitive camping options across its 9,000+ acres. The backcountry sites are tucked into hardwood hollows and pine stands, connected by a web of gravel roads that wind past CCC-era stone structures and remnants of Roosevelt’s Little White House era. Popular with locals but rarely crowded except during peak fall foliage season.

Access is off GA Highway 190 west of Pine Mountain town. The backcountry roads are maintained gravel, suitable for any vehicle, though some camping spurs get narrow. Spring water is available at several locations throughout the park. Fire restrictions typically apply May through October.
