Bryce Canyon National Park Sunset Campground
Sunset Campground offers 100 sites spread across three loops in a ponderosa pine forest just off the main park road. At 8,000 feet elevation, nights stay cool even in summer, and snow can hit as early as October. Sites vary from pull-throughs that handle big rigs to tent-only spots tucked into the trees. The campground sits within walking distance of Sunset Point, one of Bryce’s premier hoodoo viewpoints.
Loop A and B stay open year-round with limited services in winter, while Loop C operates May through September. Summer reservations are essential — this place books solid months ahead. The amphitheater programs run nightly during peak season, and the general store stocks basic supplies but bring your own firewood.
