Kruger National Park Skukuza Rest Camp
Skukuza is Kruger’s main hub — a full town inside the park with 293 camping sites, restaurants, fuel, and even a golf course. Sites range from basic camping to full hookups for large rigs. The Sabie River runs right through camp, bringing elephants, hippos, and crocodiles practically to your tent. This is as civilized as it gets in the African bush.
Book months ahead for dry season (May-September) when wildlife concentrates around water sources. The camp has a supermarket, bank, and medical clinic — everything you need for extended stays. Gate times are strictly enforced, so plan your drives accordingly. Malaria area, so come prepared.
