Bryce Canyon Bryce Point Sunrise Overlook
Bryce Point sits on the rim at 8,300 feet, delivering one of the park’s most photographed sunrise views over the main amphitheater. The overlook faces east across thousands of red, orange, and white limestone hoodoos carved by millions of years of erosion. Peak crowds gather here for dawn shots, especially May through September, so arrive 30 minutes early to claim parking and a good spot along the rail.
Access is via paved Bryce Canyon Road from the park entrance. The viewpoint has formal parking, restrooms, and paved walkways suitable for any vehicle. Winter brings snow and ice, making sunrise timing less predictable but crowds much thinner. The adjacent Rim Trail connects to other viewpoints if you want to escape the crowds after sunrise.
