Cypress Swamp Trail Trailhead

Trailhead

This trailhead provides access to elevated boardwalks winding through some of Mississippi’s most pristine bottomland hardwood forest. The main trail is a 2.5-mile loop through massive bald cypress and tupelo stands, with shorter spurs leading to wildlife observation platforms overlooking seasonal wetlands.

Parking is gravel with space for about 20 vehicles including larger rigs. The boardwalks handle foot traffic only, but the trail system connects to longer hiking routes through the surrounding delta region. Best visited during drier months when mosquito populations are more manageable.
