Playa Boca de la Soledad Dispersed Beach Camping
This undeveloped stretch of Pacific beach offers some of the finest dispersed camping on Oaxaca’s coast. Park directly on the sand with waves literally at your doorstep — just mind the high tide line. Sea turtles nest here during summer months, and the sunrise over endless empty beach is worth the rough access road. No facilities means pack everything out, but the isolation is unbeatable.
Last 8 kilometers is sand and rough dirt requiring high clearance and careful momentum in soft spots. Rainy season turns access into a muddy nightmare. Best accessed May through October when roads firm up. Local fishing pangas sometimes beach here, but you’ll often have miles of coastline to yourself.
