Halls Creek Campground
Halls Creek sits at the mouth of a spectacular slot canyon system feeding into Lake Powell, offering 20 sites scattered among red rock formations and cottonwoods. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, with vault toilets and potable water available. The campground stays busy March through October when lake levels support boat launching, but shoulder seasons offer solitude and cooler temperatures for exploring nearby canyons on foot.
Access via UT-276 from either Hanksville (46 miles) or UT-95 junction (37 miles). Paved road all the way but remote — fuel up beforehand. Lake levels fluctuate dramatically, affecting both scenery and recreation opportunities. Prime camping spots fill early during peak season.
