Giants Ridge Nordic Trails

This expansive trail system offers some of the best maintained single-track and Nordic skiing trails in northern Minnesota, with 75 miles of interconnected routes winding through reclaimed mining terrain. During summer, the trails are perfect for mountain biking and hiking, while winter brings world-class cross-country skiing. The terrain varies from gentle rolling hills to technical climbs, with several scenic overlooks of the surrounding Iron Range landscape.

The main trailhead features ample parking, clean facilities, and trail maps. Access is via paved roads suitable for any vehicle. Trail conditions are consistently well-maintained, and the area sees moderate use outside of major skiing events. Some trails connect to the longer Mesabi Trail system for extended adventures.
