Glacier Breeze Guest House Campground — Passu Karakoram Highway Camp
Glacier Breeze sits in Passu village, right where the Karakoram Highway runs under the Passu Cones with Passu Glacier at your back. It’s a family-run guesthouse that lets travelers pitch tents on its grounds. That makes it a solid last-comfort stop before you start the Shimshal Road: you get a hot meal, a roof if the weather turns, and a chance to ask locals how the road is running. Expect basic facilities and plenty of company from trekkers and cyclists on the KKH. Summer, roughly May through September, is the busy stretch.
Access is the paved KKH, so any vehicle gets here. The Shimshal Road itself is a different animal: narrow, cut into the gorge wall, and prone to rockfall and landslides. Ask in Passu about current conditions before you commit. Camping details, rates, and whether they take overlanders with vehicles change from season to season, so verify ahead by phone or in person. Prices and availability are not confirmed here.
Have a dirty day.
