This surreal collection of giant metal sculptures rises from the North Dakota prairie like something from a fever dream — a 110-foot tall family of geese, a massive grasshopper, and other oversized prairie creatures created by local artist Gary Greff. The sculptures are scattered along a 32-mile stretch of county roads, turning an otherwise mundane drive into something memorable.
Access is via paved county roads off I-94, making it easy for any vehicle. Each sculpture has a small parking area and interpretive sign. It’s a quick but memorable stop for overlanders crossing the state, and the flat prairie provides excellent cell coverage for photos that’ll confuse your Instagram followers.
