Badlands Petrified Wood Park

This unique Depression-era park in Lemmon features buildings, pyramids, and sculptures constructed entirely from petrified wood collected from the surrounding badlands. The main pyramid contains over 100 tons of petrified wood and fossils arranged in geometric patterns. Walking paths wind through the displays, and the museum building houses additional specimens and local history exhibits.

Open seasonally from May through September with small admission fee. Located right in town with paved parking and easy access. The park represents one of the most extensive collections of petrified wood structures in the world, making it a worthy stop for geology enthusiasts and roadside attraction fans.
