Spring Gulch sits at 6,200 feet along Hyalite Creek, about 20 miles south of Bozeman. This Forest Service campground offers 12 sites scattered through lodgepole pine and Douglas fir, with direct creek access for brook and rainbow trout fishing. Sites accommodate RVs up to 32 feet, though the narrow mountain road keeps most big rigs away. Fire rings and vault toilets throughout, but no drinking water — pack your own.
Access via Hyalite Canyon Road gets rough in spots but remains passable for most vehicles. Popular with locals on weekends May through September. Snow closes the road typically November through April, making this a seasonal destination only.
