Georgia Pass East Side Dispersed Camping

Remote dispersed camping on the Breckenridge side of Georgia Pass with access to mining ruins and spectacular Continental Divide views.

Several primitive sites along French Gulch Road below Georgia Pass summit, nestled in aspen groves at 10,800 feet elevation. Most sites handle 2-3 vehicles with natural screening between spots. Popular with overlanders running Georgia Pass, Boreas Pass, and exploring the extensive mining history of French Gulch area. Fire restrictions typically in effect mid-summer through fall.

Accessed via French Gulch Road (County Road 10) from Breckenridge, approximately 6 miles to the dispersed camping area. Road becomes increasingly rough with creek crossings and loose rock. Best season late June through early October. No services, cells service spotty at best. Pack extra water as natural sources may be seasonal.
