Red Bug Slough OHV Trail System
Central Florida's family OHV destination
Red Bug Slough offers 1,200 acres of purpose-built OHV trails in the heart of Central Florida, ranging from beginner-friendly loops to technical challenges that’ll test experienced riders. The park features everything from easy fire roads perfect for stock vehicles to gnarly single-track sections with root-filled climbs and tight turns through palmetto scrub. The main loop connects multiple trail systems, including the challenging Black Trail that weaves through dense forest with technical obstacles and the easier Blue Trail that’s perfect for families getting started in off-road driving.
This is moderate terrain overall, accessible to stock 4WD vehicles with decent ground clearance, though the advanced sections reward more capable rigs. The park provides amenities including restrooms, water, and designated camping areas, making it ideal for weekend trips. Open year-round, but summer heat and humidity make fall through spring the preferred seasons. Entry fees apply, but you get well-maintained trails, marked routes, and the peace of mind that comes with riding in a managed facility rather than getting lost in unmarked forest.
