Silver Springs State Park

Crystal-clear spring-fed rivers and developed camping along the historic Silver River, perfect base for exploring central Florida's spring country.

This state park sits along the legendary Silver River, where glass-bottom boat tours have run for over a century through crystal-clear spring water. The campground offers 59 sites with hookups, clean facilities, and easy access to the spring head. Manatees frequent the warmer waters in winter months, and the park stays busy with families year-round.

Located right off State Road 40 east of Ocala, it’s an ideal resupply and cleanup stop before heading deeper into the Ocala National Forest. The park museum showcases old Florida tourism history, and paddle rentals are available on-site. Reserve ahead during peak season and manatee season.
