Valle de la Trinidad — Ejido Roadside Flats Dispersed Camp
South and east of Valle de la Trinidad, the high desert valley opens up into wide, boulder-strewn flats cut by dusty two-tracks that peel off the main TranspeninsularNorte route. Overlanders running the Sierra Juárez approach or dropping toward San Felipe have long used these pulls for a dry camp — flat ground, minimal rocks, big sky, and the kind of quiet that reminds you why you drove down here in the first place. No infrastructure whatsoever: no fire rings, no toilets, no trash service. Pack everything in and out.
This is ejido-administered land — low-key enforcement, but ask in town if you plan to linger. Best season is October through April; summer heat in this valley is serious and water sources are nil. Dirt roads accessing the flats range from graded to rough two-track depending on recent rains. A high-clearance rig is strongly recommended. Cell signal drops to nothing a few kilometers outside of town.
Dry desert flats, big sky, zero frills.
