Triple N Ranch’s 28,000 acres represent old Florida at its finest—rolling scrub oak, palmetto prairies, and working cattle operations that haven’t changed much since the 1890s. The 40-mile circuit follows ranch roads from Highway 27 near Clermont, winding through active pastures where Brahman cattle graze alongside sandhill cranes. The infamous ‘Gator Hole’ water crossing at mile 18 tests ground clearance during summer rains.
This is easy to moderate terrain suitable for stock high-clearance vehicles, though wet season demands 4WD for creek crossings and muddy ranch roads. The ranch operates year-round guided tours, but adventurous drivers can access select roads with advance permission. Best visited October through April when roads are firm and wildlife active. No camping allowed, but nearby Clermont offers resupply. Expect to share the road with working cowboys and the occasional bull.

October through April. Florida summers bring brutal heat, afternoon thunderstorms, and standing water that can make the low-lying ranch roads a muddy mess. Winter and early spring are drier, cooler, and the bugs are far less aggressive.

How far is the nearest gas station and is there cell service on the trail?
Clermont is your closest fuel stop before heading out — top off there. Cell service inside the ranch is spotty at best, so download offline maps and have a plan before you roll in. Don't count on GPS rerouting if you miss a turn.
