Vedauwoo Recreation Area Campground
Twenty-eight sites nestled among towering pink granite outcroppings and scattered ponderosa pines. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, with vault toilets and water spigots throughout the campground. The bizarre rock formations create a natural playground for climbing, photography, and exploring. Sites fill quickly on weekends during climbing season.
Located 17 miles southeast of Laramie on I-80, then south on Forest Road 700. The access road is paved but narrow in spots. Campground operates May through September, though the area is accessible year-round for day use when snow permits.
