Sisimiut Arctic Circle Trail Trailhead
This marked trailhead sits on the outskirts of Sisimiut and serves as the northern terminus of the 165-kilometer Arctic Circle Trail to Kangerlussuaq. A wooden signboard displays trail maps and safety information in multiple languages. Basic facilities include a small shelter and information kiosk, but no services beyond that. The trail is well-marked with orange paint blazes on rocks.
The trailhead is accessible by most vehicles during summer via a dirt track from the main settlement road. Parking is informal on level ground near the sign. Many overlanders use this as a day hike access point rather than attempting the full multi-day trek. Weather can change rapidly, so check conditions before venturing out.
Gateway to Greenland's premier hiking trail.
