Saguenay Fjord National Park Baie-Sainte-Marguerite Campground
Baie-Sainte-Marguerite sits on the north shore of the Saguenay Fjord, accessible only by boat or seaplane. The 23 sites are scattered along the rocky shoreline and in the boreal forest, each with fire ring and bear cache. No services — bring everything including drinking water. The campground offers front-row seats to beluga whale activity from June through October.
Access requires a 45-minute boat ride from Tadoussac or other Saguenay River ports, making this a true wilderness experience. Sites are primitive walk-in style, some requiring a short portage from the water. Weather can change quickly on the fjord. Popular with sea kayakers and boaters seeking isolation. Reservations essential — only open June through September.
