Ridley Creek State Park
This developed state park offers 5 miles of paved roads, fishing ponds, and over 12 miles of hiking trails through deciduous forest and open meadows. The park gets busy on weekends with families, but weekday mornings are quiet. Fishing is solid for bass and bluegill in the main pond. No camping, but it’s a good rest stop and leg-stretcher between trail sessions in the region.
Access is straightforward off Route 3 west of Media. The park roads are paved and suitable for any vehicle. Open year-round, but some facilities close in winter. Parking areas can fill up on nice weekend afternoons.
Multi-use park with fishing and trails near Philly.
