The base lodge sits at 5,400 feet where Red Lodge meets wilderness, offering fuel, food court dining, and a gear shop stocked with basics. During summer months when the ski lifts shut down, it transforms into a staging area for Beartooth adventures — expect crowds of motorcyclists and RVs prepping for the high country. The parking areas can handle big rigs, and it’s your last guaranteed fuel before the long haul over Beartooth Pass.

Open year-round with seasonal variations in services. The fuel station operates independently of the lodge, so even when ski operations are closed, you can still top off tanks. No overnight camping allowed in the parking areas, but it’s a solid waypoint for final preparations.
