Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest — Lone Fir Campground

Established Campground

Lone Fir sits at around 3,600 feet in the North Cascades, tucked into a thick stand of conifers along Early Winters Creek just west of the Washington Pass summit. It’s a legit staging camp for the Hart’s Pass corridor and the upper Methow — 27 sites, vault toilets, and enough space to park a rig with a trailer without playing Tetris. Busy on summer weekends, but the creek noise drowns out the neighbors. Fire restrictions typically kick in mid-July through September — check the Methow Valley Ranger District before you roll in with a fire plan.

Paved access off Highway 20 means any rig gets in, but the camp fills fast on long weekends. No reservations — first come, first served. Water is available on-site when the camp is staffed. Snow can linger into late May at this elevation, and the road over Washington Pass closes in winter.
